Hi! My name is Ashlyn Barrett and I am a Junior in the Taft FFA Program at Taft High. This year I have raised a steer named Briggs and plan to show at the Kern County fair. Raising livestock comes with a lot of responsibility and time committed to each project. This year I have learned that consistency is one of the most important qualities a person can have in the agriculture industry. Being able to see different sides of the process in raising an animal has been truly amazing. Along with amazing experiences comes a cost.
